GTP Engagement and Engagement + Contracts are two of the official contracts that GTP offers for Members to execute directly from their platform with one another. Contracts are the same for any member who uses them so once you have read and understand a GTP contract, you will never have to read it again. GTP Engagement and Engagement + Contracts allow for an Athlete to defer payment to a Coach, Trainer or Academy. The Athlete is only responsible for reconciling for that agreed to amount based on 15% of their future success. For example, if an Athlete owed a Coach $1000 and that Athlete won $50,000, that Athlete is only required to pay the Coach that $1000. If an Athlete instead had won $500, that Athlete is required to pay $75 toward the $1000 outstanding collective.

Note a 4% annual interest is applied to any outstanding collective. Collectives may be paid off at any time with no prepayment penalty.

Engagement and Engagement+ means Contracts are entered into between a Certified Athlete and either a Certified Coach, Trainer or Academy collectively titled “Engagement Contracts and Engagement+ Contracts.”

These contracts stipulate for Coaches-Athletes: tennis training, including but not limited to, private or group tennis instruction, mental training, off-court training or sparring sessions, virtual training sessions, virtual or in person mentoring sessions, video analysis or serving as a hitting partner, part-time or full-time coach.

Athlete-Trainer Engagement Contracts include, but are not limited to, private or group instruction, mental training, stretching, off court fitness, dietary assistance, body-building, cardio and non-cardio fitness exercises, massage therapy, virtual training sessions, virtual and in person mentoring sessions and video analysis.

The amount of cost for Coaching or Training is still negotiated between Coach and Athlete.

***The only difference between Engagement and Engagement + Contracts is that with Engagement + Contracts (High performance contracts) upon an Athlete’s retirement, which GTP classifies as not having played eight (8) ATP/ITF/WTA tournaments in two (2) consecutive calendar years, if an Athlete is unable to pay off the outstanding collective, it is all forgiven.

***Engagement Contracts require that, upon retirement, an Athlete will begin a five (5) year payment plan to pay off their collective with a Coach.
